If you’re one of the growing number of LGBT seniors (50+) struggling to make ends meet and unable to afford housing, feeling lonely and alone, or maybe just looking to connect with people of your own generation, the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Senior Services department offers a wide range of programs and services for you.
Our friendly staff can help you find affordable housing. In fact, we operate the nation's largest affordable housing development specifically for LGBT seniors: Triangle Square in Hollywood.
We can also help you claim benefits you may not even know are available to you; we’ve been especially successful in helping LGBT veterans get unclaimed benefits from the Veteran’s Administration.
Interested in building your social network and meeting new people? Join us for one of the dozens of fun activities, events, dinners, parties, workshops and programs we host each month. One of the most popular events is the annual Senior Prom—it closes out PRIDE month (June) in spectacular form.
Check out our events calendar and subscribe to our newsletter to learn what’s happening each month. We offer programs and services in East L.A. with Communidad Latina 50+, the San Fernando Valley, and at the Center's Village at Ed Gould Plaza and Triangle Square.

We also provide case management support when you need a little help navigating the complex world of Social Security, Medicare, VA Benefits and more. As part of our case management program, we'll refer you to other programs at the Center for services we don't provide or if necessary, to other LGBT supportive companies or organizations.
With more than 65,000 LGBT seniors living in Los Angeles county, we recognize that the Center must partner with other organizations to ensure that all LGBT seniors have access to the services they need and deserve. That is why we provide trainings for mainstream providers of services to seniors.
To date, our "Creating Safe Spaces" program has trained more than 2,100 professionals in the field of aging. This training is free of charge to local health and human service agencies and to social service providers.
To schedule a training, please call 877-688-4833 or send an email message to firstname.lastname@example.org.
